Flying South or Enjoying the Snow? by Cal Elshoff & Carrie Ramoz Those of you who pay particular attention to our beautiful and varied avian population have likely noticed a recent change in Tetherow’s bird community. As frosty nights give way to brisk mornings, many our feathered friends have departed for milder temperatures. Our local Neotropic birds (birds that leave their Central and South American homes to make their way to North America to nest and rear their young) have returned to tropics, while our Fly Catchers, Orioles, King Birds, Swallows and Lewis Woodpeckers have retreated to Southern Oregon/Northern California for the winter. The Oregon Golf Association awards this prestigious annual honor to the best in the industry   At its Annual Meeting at Oswego Lake Country Club the Oregon Golf Association recognized a number of its important stakeholders including members, clubs, courses as well as superintendents and golf professionals. Each year, OGA Directors – the representatives of all regular OGA Member Clubs – get together to review the business of the Golf Association.
