Welcome the Walkers

Wrong turns can be a bad thing. But for Craig Walker and Laura Ross, it led them to Tetherow and their new home on the 15th.

Four years ago, Craig and Laura were visiting Bend and decided to drive up to Mt. Bachelor. They literally stumbled into Tetherow and found lot 220 on Searcy Court in the Heath Neighborhood.

“I had no idea Tetherow was here,” Craig said. “I have vacationed all my life at Black Butte Ranch. While it is wonderful for vacations, it is a bit remote for retirement.” Being on the edge of the forest, yet just seven minutes from downtown, sealed the deal for Tetherow.

Craig is president of FlashAlert Newswire, which distributes breaking news and news releases to newsrooms across the Northwest. Being totally virtual, he’s quite excited about what Tetherow has to offer people like him, who spend most of their day at home.

“I finally am going to get my exercise time in — at Tetherow Sport,” he says.

Laura manages a small company in Vancouver. Until she retires, they will be splitting their time between Vancouver and Bend. While neither is a golfer, they both look forward to skiing.
