What’s Ahead In 2019

With another successful year under Tetherow’s belt, it’s time to look forward to the next. Join us in raising our glasses to 2019!

Golf

When the grass defrosts and the sun returns, Tetherow’s premier 18-hole golf course will be ready for action. This season, there will be an increased pace of play with Marshals, which means less waiting! The Driving Range complex will be examined and a larger back Tee Deck will be built to minimize signs of overuse. We’ll also be welcoming a spanking new fleet of new EZ-GO golf carts with GPS.

And as always, we’ll be focusing on quality and keeping the challenge fun and the fun challenging.

Lodging

Lodging options will continue to expand in the coming year.

“Be on the lookout for a greater variety of vacation rentals ranging from one-bed luxury studios to two, three and four bedroom arrangements in addition to the current five-bedroom units,” says Anna Gorecki, Vacation Homes Administrator.

We are particularly excited for the two-bedroom cottages. Seven in total, they are designed to fit the niche between five-bedroom homes and hotel suites, and come with lounging space and a kitchen for the traveling cook.

The cottages will be added to our rental program beginning in April.

We will also offer the option to “lock off” rooms within our 5-bedroom homes for guests who would like a larger living space, but do not require all five bedrooms.

Our current vacation homes come equipped with their own private hot tubs, fire pits, and barbeques. They’re fantastic for family gatherings, weddings, and “staycations.” We have a variety of floor plans—call (888) 835-9091 for details!

Tetherow Sport & Café

We are proud to announce the new Passport Program!

For the month of January, Members and resort guests who sign up will get stamps in their “passport” for participation in group fitness classes and personal training packages. These stamps can be redeemed for fun prizes—including a poolside cabana rental. A portion of the proceeds will go to Sparrow Clubs, a charity that empowers children to engage in small acts of kindness.

TSport is also on the lookout for some new equipment, particularly a recumbent bike. So far, we have collectively pedaled almost 15,000 miles!

Youth programming is on our radar, too. Tetherow Sport Manager Jordan Ropp is exploring after-school programs and summer camps that utilize the fitness facility and Golf Academy. This is in line with one of Ropp’s main goals: to better integrate TSport with Golf, the Academy, and Membership.

“We want to build bridges between our departments and work as Team Tetherow,” says Ropp. “It’s time to bring them together and create!”

To sign up for the Passport Program, please contact Tetherow Sport Front Desk at sport@tetherow.com

Operations & Membership

As with every year, 2019 will focus on improving the Member experience. The website and app will be revamped, and there will extra attention given to programming and special interest groups.

And keep your eyes out for monthly trivia, wine and paint nights, and kids’ activities.

We are also very excited to welcome five new elected members to the Advisory Board: Laurie Kutter, Lisa O’Brian, Eric Bollinger, Robin Upham, and Amy Tucker. They will be joining sitting members Rob Livingston, Mark Shields, and Dylan Brandt. Thank you to the departed board members for their valuable contributions.

As always, feedback is extraordinarily important—please reach out anytime with ideas for the resort, for new events or clubs (aharvey@tetherow.com), or if you think you’ve found the perfect name for our new single-track trail (cervin@tetherow.com…the winner receives a $50 gift card to Solomon’s!).

In the meantime, we look forward to ringing in 2019 with you at the New Year’s Eve Party!
