The 2019 Golf Season Is Upon Us!

After an unseasonably late winter, one thing is certain: Tetherow golfers couldn’t be any readier to get back out on the links.  And this year, our golfers have a few exciting things to look forward to.

Firstly, we are thrilled to welcome a new golf pro to our team, Katie Burnett.  Katie, who has played on both the LPGA and Ladies’ European Tour since 2013, just moved to Bend with her wife Dewi Schreefel, the first Dutch national to have played the LPGA tour.  It was Dewi’s love of Central Oregon, and their mutual love of the ultimate outdoor active lifestyle that Bend affords its residents, that led them to head north from Los Angeles.  And once in Bend, joining the Tetherow team didn’t even take a second thought.

Still an active tour member with the LPGA,  Katie is most looking forward to playing the Cambia LPGA Ladies’ Classic in Portland later this year, and we’re looking forward to cheering her on.   Katie will be an instrumental part of our golf team during the 2019 golf season, helping with our junior program, ladies’ golf, and best of all – providing private lessons.  Learning from a current LPGA player is one of the most exciting offerings we have for our golfers this year, so be sure and sign up to learn from Katie!

Secondly, we are proud to announce that a brand new fleet of Tetherow golf carts has arrived.

The 2019 RXV E-Z-GO Lithium golf carts come equipped with state-of-the-art 10-inch LED Textron GPS screens, cooler, club washer, and USB ports.  Eco-friendly and low maintenance, these new carts provide one of the quietest and smoothest rides available on the market. We couldn’t be more excited to have them for the 2019 season.

Tetherow golf members will enjoy a host of special events throughout the calendar year beyond The Opener, including couples’ challenges like the Sip and Swing on May 3rd.  We’re also proud to offer our members a special seminar on the new rules of golf on April 17th, lead by a USGA expert.
