Golf at Tetherow with Finn Scooters
  • See why we love late summer golf with Finn Scooters

What do we love about late summer golf? The colors on the course really pop: the golden blooming rabbitbrush against the bright green fescue and the rustic tan grasses. We love the very slight crispness that slips into the early morning air, too. Love the wind in your hair? Try a round using a Finn Scooter – it’s a seriously fun way to play 18! Learn more here.

  • Dive into Paulina Lake with fishing and hot springs

Want a day on the water but can’t decide between fishing or relaxing in warm springs? At Paulina Lake, you don’t need choose! This deep lake (250 ft) is located within the caldera of Newberry Volcano, approx. 25 miles south of Bend. It’s plentiful fishing provides a rewarding challenge for all levels. Trek to the far side of the lake and enjoy the primitive geothermal-fed warm springs while taking in the unique views of the ancient obsidian flow.

  • Taste summer on Solomon’s seasonal menu

Solomon’s restaurant features a rotating menu of tantalizing local flavors. The biggest hit of the summer has been the Grilled Peach Burrata. This dish bursts with fresh flavors and textures – grilled peaches, thinly sliced burrata cheese, arugula, prosciutto, a balsamic reduction and a wine vinaigrette. Experience this unique dish before the fall menu takes over. Solomon’s is at Tetherow and is open for dinner Wed – Sun. Learn more here.

  • Experience flying with the Mt. Bachelor Zipline

Just 20 miles from Tetherow, Mt. Bachelor’s new zipline offers a stellar summer mountain experience! This dual-line, three-stage tour launches from an elevation of 7,800 feet, above the tree and drops nearly 1,400 vertical feet along the volcano’s slopes to make it the Northwest’s steepest, fastest, and highest-elevation zip adventure. Ride at your own pace with the zip trolley’s self-controlled braking system and enjoy the thrill with your friends on two side-by-side lines on each span. Ages 10+. Learn more here.

And of course, COVID: We love these ideas because they’re outdoors. As of 8/13/21 masks are required inside all businesses in Oregon, regardless of vaccination status. Read about Tetherow’s COVID-19 protocols
